Karl Lehmann

Karl Lehmann assists Mike in coaching the 2015 White team.  McDonogh School 1984 graduate and three sport student athlete,  Karl played Football, Wrestled and played Lacrosse, captaining his Football and Lacrosse teams in his senior year.  Lehmann graduated from Cornell University and was part of the 1987 and 1988 National runner-up teams his junior and senior seasons, earning the Joe Philip Memorial Award for his contributions the overall team effort in his senior season.  Karl has been coaching McDonogh School’s girl’s lacrosse rec teams since 2002.

Steph Taylor

Co-Coach

Steph Taylor was a two sport athlete at Cocalico High School in Lancaster County, PA. She played basketball and lacrosse and was captain her senior year in both sports and her junior year for lacrosse.  She helped lead her lacrosse team to two consecutive section two titles, as well as going undefeated with a record of 18-0 in her senior season and capturing the LL-League Title. Additionally, Taylor was awarded with All American honors and league MVP her junior and senior years at Cocalico.

 She went on to play lacrosse for the Tigers at Towson University for the 2007-2010 seasons. While at Towson she played three and a half years as a midfielder, and finished up her career as a low defender. She was a captain for the Tigers her senior year in 2010, and helped lead the tigers to three CAA tournament appearances. The 2008 and 2009 seasons were especially memorable, as Taylor and the Tigers captured the CAA title two years in a row. In 2009 Taylor was named to the CAA All Tournament Team.  She was named to the CAA Commissioner’s list from 2007-2009, and was also named to the IWLCA Academic squad in 2009. Her most memorable experience was playing her final collegiate game at UVA in 2010.

 Taylor graduated from Towson University in 2011 with a degree in Special Education and is currently teaching at Golden Ring Middle School in the Baltimore County Public Schools system. She has coached two other Lancaster based club teams (Lancaster Area Xtreme and Lanco Elite) over the past five years, as well as being the head JV coach for Hereford High School in 2011. In her spare time Steph likes to travel, watch movies, take pictures and go running.

Mike Farrell

Assistant Coach

Mike Farrell, TLC founder, Director and Board Member, has a hand in coaching all the TLC teams and players from our youngest, newest players to our graduating, recruitable class.  Mike was a defenseman at Calvert Hall High School where he was a member of the MSA Championship teams of 1971 and 1972, earning high school All-American honors in 1972.  At the University of Maryland, Mike played in the NCAA Lacrosse Championships in all four years of his collegiate career, winning the championship in 1973 and 1975.  He earned First-Team All-American honors in 1974 and 1975.  He was a member of the ACC championship teams of 1973 and 1976.  Mike received the William C. Schmeisser Award as the nation’s best defenseman in 1976 and Maryland’s Edwin E. Powell Award for great service to the game of lacrosse in 1976.  He was also captain for the south team in the 1976 North/South Collegiate All-Star game.  Mike played for the Maryland Lacrosse Club for 1979-82, winning the club championship in 1979 and 1982.  He has continued his contribution to the sport of lacrosse as a coach at the recreational level.
