Community

TLC lacrosse supports a significant community service initiative.  We have a strong belief in teaching the very fortunate young women of our program the importance of giving back to their community and helping those in need.

TLC has participated in raising funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation through participation in the Race for the Cure held each fall and through participation in the Lax for the Cure Tournament each summer.  Our TLC athletes and their families have participated in these events since our inception.  Breast cancer is an insidious disease, one that, at some level, will affect every member of our program.  The commitment our children are making to finding a cure for this disease means a great deal to a great many.  Participation in this effort offers all of the TLC family the opportunity to continue our tradition of community involvement and betterment.

Additional community service participation has included commitments to the victims of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Brian E. Wilcox Memorial Fund.

TLC has taught all of us so much both on and off the field and because of that we have grown as players and people.  Because of this program I have become a stronger player and I’ve met my best friends.
