The Parisi Speed School is a sports performance program that focuses on teaching athlete's how to get the most out of their god-given physical athletic ability by teaching everyone the TECHNIQUE of how to be at your top speed, accelerate, and change direction quickly, and without injury.

 The Parisi Speed School powered by LifeBridge Health and Fitness will be holding a open house Saturday, March 31st at 12:30. At this open house you will first hand get a chance to participate and understand just how the professional speed coaches at the Parisi Speed School can make every athlete faster more explosive athlete on the field. TLC is proud to sponsor a fall lacrosse clinic for graduation years 2013 through 2018 to be held on September 25 at the St. Paul School for Girls from 9:00 - 1:00.  The clinic will be conducted by Cathy Reese, Head Coach, University of Maryland, Quinn Carney, Lauri Kenis and Brian Reese, U of M Staff as well as U of M Women’s Lacrosse Players.   A Recruiting Seminar will also be held after the clinic for families of 2013, 2014 and 2015 players.  Registration is required (see attachment).

Due to the extremely cold winter Baltimore has been experiencing, TLC Lacrosse, in conjunction with the University of Maryland Women’s Lacrosse Team and Head Coach, Cathy Reese, will be resecheduling the UMD Clinic planned for January 22 to a date to be confirmed in early September.  All registration checks will be returned in the next week or so.  Watch for a posting soon regarding the new date for the clinic.

We will be releasing all Downingtown rooms on Tuesday, September 21 at 5:00.  The hotel is willing to rent rooms on a one-night basis now which they were not originally.  Most members of our program are staying in this hotel as are all of our coaches.  It is a lot of fun for the kids because there is an indoor pool and it is a lot of fun for our parents because there is great bar and restaurant.

A reminder that registrations for the Fall Tournaments should now be made through the Lax Wiz.  The deadline for these registrations is Sunday, August 15, 2010.  This summer we permitted numerous players to register late.  Consequently, they were left off of coaches’ directories and rosters in tournament directories.  This was upsetting to the children, their parents and was a management nightmare for TLC.  Therefore, it is imperative that all players have their registrations completed by the August 15 deadline.

 We would ask that you register at your earliest possible convenience as this assists us in completing our early rostering process most of which must be delivered by September 1.  Therefore, the deadline for all tournament registrations is midnight, Sunday, August 15 to allow us time to get the information to the tournament directors.

Coach Megan Hanson has invited TLC families to join together as a group next week, and continue our TLC tradition by walking in Great Strides to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  The walk is next Sunday, May 2nd at Hunt Valley Towne Centre.  Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m.  There is a festival immediately after the walk. We hope to have a strong TLC presence to support Molly and Brigette Danko, and their quest to find a cure for this disease which took the life of their wonderful mom, Stacy Danko, just last year.

TLC has been invited to send a team of 2015 players to participate in a scrimmage against NEMS 2015 during half time at the NCAA semi final evening at Towson University on Friday, May 28.  Please let us know if your daughter is interested in trying out for a spot on this team.  We will take two goalkeepers and 16 field players for a 20 minute televised half time scrimmage.

 We also have an opportunity send a limited number of ball girls who will work the 5:30 semi final game.  Ball girls will be accepted on a first come, first served basis from our 2016 and 2017 teams. 

 TLC uniforms will be mandatory for all participants and will be distributed early to girls participating. 

 This is a very exciting opportunity for our program and we know the girls will enjoy the opportunity of being involved in this national championship event.

Many of our tournaments have now gone to mandatory online rosters and waivers which must be completed by each player. Other tournaments may require a paper waiver to be returned to TLC. TLC will post the information as we receive it.

Since 2006, our TLC athletes and their families participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure each year as our community service project.  We feel it is a wonderful way to bring all the athletes and families of our program together to pool our efforts to better our community.  Although this is not a mandatory event, we strongly encourage every member of TLC to participate along with any family members and friends who wish to join them.

Players, families and friends can now register to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure which will be held on October 3 in Hunt Valley, MD.  Please log onto www.komenmd.org and click on "Click Here to Register" under the Race for the Cure heading.   Click on Teams.  Enter "Team TLC" in the appropriate box.

All TLC teams will practice Tuesday and Thursday nights at a time between 6:00 and 9:00, with final schedules to be forwarded as the summer draws nearer. Individual coaches may choose to modify their practice schedule based on the availability of their players and each team’s individual tournament schedule. All practices will be held at the St. Paul’s School for Girls.
